Frequently Asked Questions
Which exchanges are supported?
Both NSE (National Stock Exchange) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) are supported. Use the exchange selector before looking up a symbol. Most large-cap Indian stocks trade on both exchanges.
Is the price real-time?
No. Prices are sourced via Yahoo Finance and are typically delayed by approximately 15 minutes. This tool is for informational purposes only and should not be used for live trading decisions.
How do I find the correct stock symbol?
NSE and BSE symbols are usually the company's short name. Examples: RELIANCE (Reliance Industries), TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), INFY (Infosys), HDFCBANK (HDFC Bank), WIPRO (Wipro), TATAMOTORS (Tata Motors). You can confirm any symbol on the NSE India or BSE India website.
How do I embed this widget on my website?
Look up the stock you want, then scroll to the "Embed this widget" section that appears below the result. Copy the one-line HTML snippet and paste it into your webpage. The widget auto-resizes and updates every minute. No signup required.
Can I embed multiple different stocks on the same page?
Yes. Each embed snippet has a unique iframe ID based on the stock symbol. Look up each stock separately and copy the embed code for each one.

Understanding the NSE / BSE Stock Ticker
This tool looks up a live, indicative price and daily trading snapshot for shares listed on India's two main exchanges, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Enter a company's ticker symbol (for example RELIANCE or TCS) to see the last traded price, the day's high and low, traded volume, and an estimated market capitalisation. It is built for investors, students, and analysts who want a quick read on where a stock sits during the session. Values are indicative and delayed by roughly 15 minutes; this is a reference tool, not a trading terminal, and nothing here is investment advice.
How it works
You enter a stock's ticker symbol, the short code an exchange assigns to each listed company. The tool queries public NSE and BSE data feeds and returns the latest available figures for that scrip. The last traded price (LTP) is the price at which the most recent trade executed. The day range shows the highest and lowest prices reached since the session opened, indicating intraday movement. Volume is the number of shares traded so far that day, a rough gauge of activity and liquidity. Market capitalisation is derived by multiplying the current share price by the company's total shares outstanding. Because the feeds are delayed by about 15 minutes, treat every number as indicative rather than a live dealing quote.
Worked Example
Suppose a stock's last traded price is ₹1,200, the day's high is ₹1,225, and the day's low is ₹1,190, on volume of 3,50,000 shares. The intraday range of ₹35 (about 2.9% of the price) points to moderate movement during the session. If the company has 100 crore (1,00,00,00,000) shares outstanding, its market capitalisation is ₹1,200 × 1,00,00,00,000 = ₹12,00,00,00,00,000, or ₹1.2 lakh crore. Change the price to ₹1,260 and the market cap rises proportionally to about ₹1.26 lakh crore, showing how capitalisation tracks price directly.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Prices shown are delayed by roughly 15 minutes, so they lag the live order book on your broker's terminal.
- The same company can quote at slightly different prices on NSE and BSE at any instant; check which exchange a figure comes from.
- High traded volume usually means better liquidity and tighter spreads, making it easier to buy or sell near the quoted price.
- Market capitalisation depends on total shares outstanding, so buybacks, new issues, or bonus shares change it even when the price does not.
- A wide day range (high far above low) signals a volatile session; a narrow range signals a quiet, range-bound one.
- Use this as a quick reference only; for order placement, dividends, or corporate actions rely on your broker and the official exchange sites.
